Perfection
Two of my favourite expressions sometimes feel as though they are in conflict with one another:
- Don’t let perfect be the enemy of good enough.
- Perfect practice makes perfect AKA if it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right.
These conflicts manifest themselves in ways that are sometimes amusing and other times frustrating. For example, I have wasted a considerable amount of time trying to write the perfect blog posts, which has ultimately delayed the launch of this website. Absolutely time to remember that I should not let perfection be the enemy of good enough.
